The door handle belongs to the entrance door of the community office in the Ökozentrum Verden an der Aller, where the Bewegungsakademie e.V., Netzwerk Alma e.V. and the Aller-Wohnen-Genossenschaft e.G. share office life. It was installed around 1998. At that time the Ökozentrum was founded in the spirit of the project workshops as a self-managed project, in which various initiatives, associations, self-administered businesses and self-managed housing were accommodated. Attac Deutschland, Bewegungsstiftung and Campact, as actors with a nationwide impact, were founded here. Other key areas of work include ecological building and educational and youth work.
Bewegungsakademie has been running the Attacademie in cooperation with Attac and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation for 14 years. Starting as a course for "economic literacy", it has developed into a course for activists for a social-oilological economic change. At the CAMPUS for World-Changing Practice, the Movement Academy and the RLS offer joint educational formats.
