This door handle is located in the office of the Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V. in Dresden. The Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V. has been advising local associations, youth initiatives, church communities, networks, companies, and local politics and administration in Saxony since 2001 with the goal of countering right-wing extremist structures with an active democratic civil society. Our projects develop methods and content that strengthen civic engagement and concrete action knowledge against right-wing extremism and thus anchor democratic everyday culture in Saxon municipalities and districts.

In the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, we have found a reliable, strong partner for many of our projects. Together, for example, we have organized educational events entitled "The Right and Corona - How Neo-Nazis, Right-Wing Populists and Others are Reacting to the Pandemic" and "Politics for the Little People? The AfD and the Social Question" were implemented. Also the 8th Asylum-Initiatives-Conference, which took place online and over several days for the first time this year, would not have been possible without the support of the RLS.

Our common goals, such as strengthening critical thinking and solidarity through political education, as well as the interest in social change towards more justice and a living democracy, unite us. This is now also symbolized by the exchanged door handles.

The door handle of the Kulturbüro Sachsen e.V. leads to our seminar rooms named ROSA and MALCOLM, named after the US civil rights activists Rosa Parks and Malcolm X. In these rooms we do not only hold our team meetings and internal trainings. Here we also welcome many friendly initiatives, associations and groups and those we get to know through these meetings. They also use and rent our seminar rooms for their events.
