The RLS in RLP has a long history with Haus Mainusch. Since 2009, there have been repeated collaborations, joint events, lectures and film screenings. In 2019, we sponsored and published the book "Kein Tag ohne: Selbstverwaltung, Widerstand und Widersprüche im Haus Mainusch" (Not a Day Without: Self-Administration, Resistance and Contradictions at Haus Mainusch) on the 30th anniversary of the squatted house as a sociocultural center.
Within the framework of this long tradition of collaboration, the connection through the commitment of numerous Stipediat*Innen, who also organized and participated in the Mainusch, the "immortalization" of the house, which is acutely threatened with closure, was a logical step for us in our headquarters in Berlin to express our appreciation for this place and its inhabitants*.
