Founded in 1964, the Institute of Scientific Socialism under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA-IS) has the task of providing theoretical work and training on scientific socialism for middle and high-ranking cadres of the Communist Party and the State of Vietnam. Over the past 56 years, the Institute has provided the background of socialism to tens of thousands of Party members and state functionaries of Vietnam and Lao People's Democratic Republic. In joint projects between the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Southeast Asia, Hanoi Office, and HCMA-IS, we work on ideas for a 21st century socialism, analyse the existing theoretical communist background and offer trainings for female party members from ethnic minorities to raise their voices at the national level.
